With Georgine Stevenson-Aho

Our exclusive online Fundamentals class is for everyone, and especially good for beginners or for those who've tried one or 2 classes and felt left behind. This session will introduce you to all the basics of a movement practice. We'll practice some of the more common yoga postures to strengthen the body and maintain flexibility, learn how to link them together to create flows and how you might use props to enhance your practice. The class will finish with a guided relaxation (savasana) lying down on the floor. You will also learn a little about general movement principles and some simple breathing practices for everyday life.
The intention for these sessions is to offer an easy accessible introduction to yoga and movement and to offer some insights into how this practice can offer us ways to live well in our daily activities. It's friendly, casual, and you are welcome to ask questions at any time.

What do I need to get started?
Comfy stretchable clothing and a yoga mat. We advise you not to wear jeans, no belts etc. No socks during practice is a good idea as socks make it slippy underfoot and you can't get a proper sense of your body movements.
Don't eat anything heavy one and half hours before class.
